The September application cycle for the Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF) is open for Austin Commercial, Englewood Neighborhood, Goose Island, LaSalle Central, and South Chicago. Through SBIF, small business and property owners may be eligible to receive reimbursement grants for permanent building improvements and repairs. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, September 30.
Applications are being accepted for the Austin Eats Culinary Entrepreneurship Grant presented by Austin Coming Together. Grants will range between $8,000 - $10,000. Funds must be used for your culinary business expenses and to cover the costs of participating in Austin Eats activities. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, September 30.
Apply to the Secretsos™ Small Business Grant Program to receive a $2,500 grant. This grant is open to any resident of the United States, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, who is over 21 years of age and has ownership in a legally recognized and registered business entity (corporation, partnerships, limited liability company, trust, etc). The deadline to apply is Tuesday, September 30.
Apply to the Foot Locker Foundation Community Empowerment Program. Eligible applicants are nonprofits that have an organizational budget of $5 million or less, maintain at least one full-time staff person focused on youth programming, deliver programs and services to connect youth to mentorship, education, career development, and health services, and serve youth in low-to-moderate income communities where support and opportunity are scarce. Nonprofits in the following fourteen cities are eligible Atlanta, Baltimore, MD; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; New York City, NY; Newark, NJ; Oakland, CA; Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; Tampa, FL; and Washington, DC. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, September 30.
Apply to the Advocates for Urban Agriculture Capacity Building Grant. The grant provides direct support to local producers in need and prioritizes individuals whose wellbeing has been negatively impacted, as well as communities that have been historically excluded. Applicants are able to apply for grant funding at one of the following levels: $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, and $20,000. Nominations are due Friday, October 3.
