Career Opportunities

  • Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago is hiring a Systems Administrator. The deadline to apply is Friday, September 5.

  • Chicago Public Art Group is hiring a Public Art Project Manager and Public Art Project Coordinator. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, September 10.

  • Cook County Assessor’s Office is seeking a Director of Data Science. The deadline to apply is Thursday, September 11. If you're interested in applying, email your resume to nicole.jardine@cookcountyil.gov.

  • Chicago OEMC is hiring a PR Coordinator.

  • Safer Foundation is seeking a Clinical Counselor.

  • Illinois DCEO is hiring a Northern Illinois Regional Workforce Manager.

Programs

  • Apply to the Board Leadership Institute presented by United Way of Metro Chicago by Monday, September 1. This program prepares philanthropic business leaders for service on the boards of directors of local nonprofit organizations.

  • Women's Business Development Center is offering a virtual 6-week E-Commerce Cohort. Sessions will be every Tuesday, September 9 - October 14 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM CST. The deadline to apply is Friday, September 5.

  • Applications are being accepted for the Urban Roots Environmental Justice Program presented by Garfield Park Conservatory. This is a paid, seasonal opportunity for high school students to grow as leaders, learn about plants and sustainability, and become tour guides at the Garfield Park Conservatory.

  • The Law Project of the Chicago Coalition to End Homelessness is seeking a Law Intern. The deadline to apply is Friday, September 12.

Summits

  • The Illinois Weather and Public Health Response Summit will be held November 12–13, 2025 at Student Center West, University of Illinois Chicago. This two-day conference will bring together public health professionals, healthcare leaders, emergency preparedness staff, and community organizations to address the health impacts of adverse weather events.

  • Chicago Department of Public Health is hosting Healing Arts Chicago on Saturday, August 30 at Malcolm X College.

  • Chicago Park District, Rush University System for Health and Humboldt Park Health are hosting a Mobile Mammogram Screening Event on weekdays from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM until Friday, September 5 at the Humboldt Park Boathouse (1301 N. Humbolt Dr). Screenings are available for all women 40+ and no insurance is required.

  • Austin Garden Collective is offering a Veggie RX Cooking Demo Series. This is a free 8-week cooking series that will be hosted on Fridays from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at BUILD.

  • South Suburban Humane Society and the Cook County Department of Animal and Rabies Control is offering a Free Rabies Vaccine and Microchip Clinic for Dogs. The clinic will be held on Saturday, September 6 from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Sauk Village Community Center (2700 Kalvelage Dr). This clinic is available at no cost for the first 300 dogs, leashes required.

  • Cook County Public Defender is hosting a 3-on-3 Streetball Tournament + Community Legal Resource Fair on Tuesday, September 9 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at 5500 W. Madison St.

  • Pilsen Neighbors Community Council is hosting a Drivers License Reinstatement Expo on Saturday, September 13 from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM at Malcolm X College (1900 W. Jackson Ave).

  • Metropolitan Family Services is hosting a Community Hiring Event on Friday, September 19 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Vodak Public Library (3710 E. 106th St).

  • Opioid Use Disorder Symposium happening on Friday, September 19 at Searle Conference Center. All health care professionals are encouraged to attend. Register by Friday, September 5.

  • LUCHA Affordable Homebuying Roadshow powered by PNC will be held on Saturday, September 27 at the National Museum of Mexican Art. Register by Saturday, September 13.

  • Workforce Opportunity Resource Center is hosting a Fall 2025 Hiring Event for adults and seniors on Thursday, October 2 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Charles A. Hayes Family Investment Center.

  • Allies for Community Business and community partners are hosting a Job Fair on Friday, October 3 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at The Hatchery (135 N Kedzie Avenue).

  • 100 Black Men of Chicago is hosting its 23rd Annual College Scholarship Fair on Saturday, October 11 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM at UIC Isadore & Sadie Dorin Forum (725 W Roosevelt Rd).
