This past Monday, November 8th our President and CEO Edward Coleman took part in a roundtable talk, at mHUB, that focused on creating and providing more resources that are geared towards manufacturing and innovation.
Several organizations were in attendance including 3Degrees, America Makes, and mHUB. The U.S Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo, Congressman Danny Davis, Congressman Jesús García, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, and Deputy Mayor Samir Mayekar also joined the roundtable talk.
One of the main topics of discussion was our recent 3D printing program that was coordinated with Mike Vazques, the founder of3Degress, and sponsored by America Makes. The 3D Printing Program which was hosted during West Side Forward’s Summer Institute honed in on the importance of providing the next generation of manufactures with the technology and resources they need to be successful.
This was a great opportunity to connect and brainstorm ideas with like-minded organizations that have a similar mission and who understand the importance of manufacturing and innovation.
