Trainings
- Applications are now open for Session 6 of the COPA (Civilian Office of Police Accountability) People's Academy. Attendees will learn about civilian police oversight, investigative and legal concepts, and the role of COPA's Policy, Research and Analysis Division (PRAD), with every course taught by COPA subject matter experts. The academy will be from September 15 – October 20, 2026 on Tuesdays, 6:00–8:30pm at Wright College – Humboldt Park (Humboldt Park Vocational Education Center).
Grants
- Apply for a Small Business Microgrant presented by the IHCC Foundation. These microgrants are geared towards small businesses that have faced direct financial losses due to recent immigration enforcement activities in their neighborhoods. 52 grants of $5,000 each will be awarded to affected small businesses. The deadline to apply is Monday, September 14.

- Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago is hosting a 2026 IMPACT Small Business Summit on Thursday, September 24 from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Malcolm X College (1900 W. Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60612).
- 50th Ward Job Fair will be held on Thursday, September 24 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Northtown Library (6800 N. Western Ave in Chicago).
- Second Chance Summit Expungement and Sealing Fair, hosted by Clerk of the Circuit Court, will be held on Saturday, October 10 from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM at Kennedy-King College.
