It's National Small Business Week.
National Small Business Week is recognized on May 1-7, 2022 to celebrate and honor the resilience, determination, and contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners around the country. Small businesses are essential to our economy and help to employ millions of Americans. 12.7 million net new jobs were created by small businesses between 1995 and 2020, acccording to the SBA.
As an Illinois Small Business Development Center, West Side Forward works daily to assist and support innovators, entrepreneurs, and business owners across the west side of Chicago. We offer no-cost 1-on-1 business counseling, support and other resources.
By coordinating and collaborating with neighborhood, state, and local partners on workshops, summits and cohorts West Side Forward will remain committed to our mission of driving economic transformation on the west side of Chicago.
