AMx 3D Printing Course

AMx 3D Printing is an 8-week training created to help accelerate the training of the future workforce in advanced manufacturing.

This course is facilitated in-person by 3D Printing professionals so students have the ability to ask questions and have direct tutoring in the content. Students will meet two times per week. 1-day instruction and 1-day industry tours. Transportation assistance is provided for offsite activities. This program is presented in collaboration with Richard J. Daley College, 3Degrees, and West Side Forward hosted during West Side Forward's Summer Institute 2022.

This program will meet from August 2022 to September 2022 on Mondays & Wednesdays from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm. Training sessions will be held at the West Side Forward Campus, 4100 W. Ferdinand St.

ELIGIBILITY

To enroll, applicants must meet a specific set of criteria. The criteria outlined below are the starting point for screening, but West Side Forward reserves the right to adjust these criteria as we determine the demand and capacity of the students to meet these criteria.

They are as follows:

• Applicants must be 21+ years 0f age
• Primary consideration will be given to Chicago west side residents within the designated communities of Austin, Humboldt Park, West Garfield Park, East Garfield Park, North Lawndale, and South Lawndale.
• Home address will be one of these ten zip codes: 60608, 60612, 60622, 60623, 60624, 60639, 60644, 60647, 60651, and 60707. Secondary consideration may be given to those from other nearby geographic locations.
• Have a valid driver’s license or state identification

The successful completion of the modules will enable students to be credentialed within the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Certified Technologist (CMfgT) certification. The Total commitment for this program is 8 weeks.
